Norma Fay Nicholson recently published her 5th non-fiction book, UNCAGED, a NUMBER ONE BESTSELLER on the Amazon Platform, January 2026!
She holds an MA(Ed) in adult education, BA in Sociology and Psychology and is a retired RN, having practiced in this career for over 40 years as a dynamic healthcare leader. She is the Founder and CEO of Youth Justice Education Services. Her last leadership role before retirement was collaborating with community members and other stakeholders to build and develop a unique wraparound healthcare support for incarcerated youth.
Community members have hailed her dedication to family development as truly embodying the spirit of community transformation with high levels of collaboration. She writes non-fiction books to make positive impact by using the contents as remarkable education tools. She educates, advocates, and mentors Black and minority families about the Canadian Justice System. She focuses on increasing their knowledge of how the systems are entwined and overlapping; media, education, healthcare, policing and the Children's Aid Society.
Norma's leadership and advocacy are delivered through public education forums, partnering and collaborating with communities that focus on preventing and enhancing the safety and wellbeing of Black and Minority families. She is an ardent volunteer who collaborates with case workers to facilitate youth justice diversion programs; her speaking engagements are in schools, universities, community youth programs and intergenerational forums.
She has received many accolades and awards for the work she does. She brings together diverse expertise to look at the complexity of the systems and focus on change. Recently was awarded the Key to the City and the King Charles111 Coronation Medal. Her strategies are: preventative tools, system navigation, root cause solutions, success stories and transformation.
