Patrick Xavier Amoresano was born in Paterson, New Jersey, and grew up in nearby Glen Rock, where he lived until moving to Belmar with his wife Carolyn in 2014. Pat has 6 kids (Luke, Mary, Mike, Elaine, Joe, and Frank), and 2 grand kids (Josh and Matt), each one of them a miracle and a blessing.
Pat himself was the 3rd of Winnie and Floyd's 5 kids. Winnie Richmond's blood line traces back to Donegal, Ireland and Kilwinning, Scotland. Floyd's blood line traces back to the Montecorice and Calabria regions of Italy, and then further back to Spain, some believe. Amoresano means "love and health" in Italian, and "perfect love" in Spanish.
Pat is a Sacristan, a Eucharistic Minisiter, and a Lector at St. Rose of Lima Parish in Belmar; a St. Vincent DePaul Society member; and a volunteer driver for St. Vincent's Legacy, a ministry which provides furniture for the poor.
Pat's been a life-long college football fan of The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, where 2 of his kids went to college. This prompted him to write his most recent book - "We Were The Fighting Irish" - a non-fiction work about Notre Dame's origins and evolving character as a Catholic institution influenced by secular progressive society.
Pat's first book - "From Which We Stem" - is a work of fiction inspired by events he had witnessed early in his life and legal career.
