Peter Luce (b. 1950) grew up in Pennsylvania and Delaware. He worked as a schoolteacher in Philadelphia , then moved to Asia and worked trading jewelery for about thirty years. In 2008 he retired and in 2016-17 he wrote "Getting Castaneda", his first book. He currently lives in Bali and Flores, Indonesia, with his four children and two granddaughters.
