Peter Rowe is a writer, with three published books and many magazine and newspaper articles. His latest book, 'Ablaze - Ten Years That Shook The World' was published in the fall of 2021. His book 'Music vs The Man' was published by Armin Lear Press in October, 2020. His first book, 'Adventures in Filmmaking,' was published in 2013. He has made over 190 films as a Director, Producer or Writer, including eight features and many episodes of dramatic and documentary television. His features include 'Treasure Island' starring Jack Palance, 'The Best Bad Thing' starring George Takei, and ,Popcorn With Maple Syrup – Film in Canada From Eh to Zed.' His 49-part series 'Angry Planet' is available on Amazon Prime and on television networks around the world. Peter Rowe has been involved with music since the 1960s, when he was filming events like the Isle of Wight Festival, the Toronto Rock and Roll Revival, and concerts by the Jefferson Airplane and the Mothers of Invention. Performers he filmed in that era include John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell. He also directed documentary profiles of the psychedelic soul band The Chambers Brothers and of famed New York disc jockey Cousin Brucie.
