Phil Scott Mayes is the author of Verity Rising and A Sharpened Dagger. An avid fan of horror and thriller genres, his works are down-to-earth, relatable, and gritty interpretations of supernatural and science fiction themes. He sees each tale as an opportunity to explore meaningful questions and challenge readers—or at least himself—with new ideas.
Phil has served in the Air Force Reserve and has earned an avionics degree from the Community College of the Air Force and a B.S. in organizational management from Spring Arbor University. He has traveled the world, worked a wide range of jobs, discovered a wide range of interests, and now wants nothing more than to stay at home crafting stories and spending time with family.
He was born and raised in Michigan where he now resides with his wife and three children.
