As an expert in helping teenagers overcome anxiety, she dedicates her work to empowering adolescents to manage their mental health, with a particular focus on anxiety.
Phoenix’s interest in helping teenagers was seeded in her own adolescence when she struggled with severe social anxiety. Unaware of what it was or what she could do to help herself, she missed out on many experiences and opportunities that she would have enjoyed were it not for her anxiety. Now with teenage children of her own, she’s acutely aware of how common anxiety is during the teen years and is passionate about helping young people navigate its challenges.
Phoenix works with teenagers on developing the skills they need to build their confidence and quiet their anxious minds, beginning by helping them understand exactly what it is they’re dealing with. She teaches practical methods of recognizing and dealing with anxiety, enabling teenagers to nurture skills that will support them throughout their whole lives. Having witnessed countless teens see significant improvements, she’s now committed to sharing her expertise with a wider audience.
Phoenix lives in California with her husband and two daughters. She often feels like she’s in an endless battle with electronic devices for time with her family, which is her absolute favorite way to spend a weekend.
