Faith. Family. Friends.
In order of importance, those are my priorities in life.
My beliefs and faith in the Almighty God of the Bible come first, above and before everything else. His will is my command, whatever that may be and wherever that may lead me.
Based on that, my family comes second. The Bible commands children to honor and respect their parents. Parents to rear and raise godly children. Husbands to love their wives and wives to love their husbands. God even calls himself “Father”. It is clear family is important to Him.
Next comes Friends. The Bible speaks often of fellowship and comradery. It says that a man by himself will struggle, but the man with a friend by his side is blessed because when one of them falls, the other will help him up. It also says that we sharpen one another as iron sharpens iron, and that in the multitude of councilors plans are established.
Last on the list would be everything else. Entertainment, hobbies, work, life, goals, dreams, the whole lot of ‘em. All of these, although important, pale to the value of the three priorities I listed at the top. Faith. Family. Friends.
Now, stepping away from the locus of my existence, let us move onto some trivial fun-facts about myself so that you can get to know me a little better and maybe understand what on earth was going through my head when I wrote books like Grimoire and Prophet.
I: live in North Idaho; attend/volunteer at a local church; hang out with friends when possible; play table top RPGs; am more of a dog person than a cat person; love telling stories; am fascinated with human resilience and psychology; enjoy the rain; dislike the cold (unless it is raining); recently started working out on a daily basis; graduated from high-school in 2019 with a full home-school diploma and college credit; drive the speed limit; read my Bible on my free-time; enjoy strategy gaming; and the list goes on infinitely.
Alas, if only I could discuss myself until the end of time. But then again, that would become rather dull in and of itself. Rather, I would encourage you to find a far more entertaining read for yourself – I happen to have written a few, don’t you know?
