Connect, create, communicate. These are the secrets to wellbeing - and the words we use hold the key. Randye Kaye harnesses the power of words in her work as a radio personality(from Commercial Top 40 to - now - NPR affiliate host), improv and stage actor, drama teacher, humorist, podcast host, writer, motivational speaker, voice talent, and audiobook narrator. It’s an eclectic work life and her calendar is, yes, color coded to keep it all straight. She wrote this latest book, Happier Made Simple in response to readers of her first one, Ben Behind His Voices, who always asked, “with all you’ve been through, how do you stay so positive?”. The book, Happier Made Simple: Choose Your Words. Change Your Life is her answer, written with love and humor. Randye also leads fun and interactive workshops (self-esteem, resilience, presentation skills, humor), and inspiring keynotes about connection and communication. On the more serious side, Randye speaks to groups of doctors, nurses, medical students, families, providers, and legislators regarding the family experience when mental illness hits. She is a Family-to-Family teacher/trainer for the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and former diversity trainer with the Anti-Defamation League. She hosts the podcast, "Schizophrenia: 3 Moms in the Trenches." Her bestselling book, Ben Behind His Voices: One Family’s Journey from the Chaos of Schizophrenia to Hope, was nominated for a Publisher’s Weekly Award. She lives with her family in Connecticut. She is also a working audiobook narrator, including over 160 titles for Tantor Audio, Live Oak, Soundprints, Brilliance Audio and more. Member of NSA (National Speakers' Association), Authors Guild, Actors' Equity Association, SAG-AFTRA, MENSA, NAMI, and Theatre Artists Workshop.
