A friend once described Renee J. Wurzer as a Renaissance woman, suggesting she's achieved proficiency in more than one field. As a student attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison, communication and political psychology were her passions. During her career in print communication, she found a niche in proofreading, typography and client services. These skills opened the door to working with self-publishing authors and proofreading scripts for independent faith-based films. In the darkness of her widowhood, being surrounded by women passionate about writing books and screenplays helped her find the courage to publish Widowspeak: A Story of Grief and Joy. Her second book, Widowspeak: Days of Despair, was published in 2023.
