Rich is on a mission. His primary mission and purpose are focused on one single objective – to put an end to small business failure! Everything he does is centered around his passion – to drive the failure rate of small business to ZERO.
It all started with his father’s family-owned business. Rich watched his Dad struggle, trying to make his business work, and ultimately losing his family, his wife and his dreams of success. Since then, Rich has been a student of business and has learned many lessons while having a successful career in both large and small companies including running and growing a manufacturing business to well over $100M in annual revenues.
Today Rich works one-to-one with small business owners to tackle the challenges they face in today’s competitive marketplace. His goal is to help business owners create a profitable business that is sustainable, has a unique position in the marketplace and is driven by a high-performance team. He measures success by helping as many business owners as possible avoid the painful pitfalls that his father endured.
In addition to being a mentor and advisor, Rich is an author, a strategic facilitator, inspirational speaker and radio show host.
Rich published his first book, “Tour de Profit – a 52 Stage Race to Grow Your Business” in 2011. His 2nd book, “The Ultimate Business Tune Up – a Simple Yet Powerful Business Model That Will Transform the Lives of Small Business Owners” was published in February 2017.
Rich hosts a weekly radio show, the Tour de Profit Hour, on KVGI Radio. He has created an e-magazine available on the Apple Newstand titled Tour de Profit and an App for small business owners titled Ultimate Business Tune Up, available on the Apple App Store.
Prior to becoming a small business advisor in 2007, Rich was an officer in the U.S. Army and held executive positions with both Texas Instruments, and Pella Corporation. Rich is active in the community having served on the board of directors for the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, is a proud Rotarian, and active board member of ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship Center in McKinney, TX.
Rich holds a B.S. in Accounting from Arizona State University and an MBA in International Business from the University of Texas at Dallas.
