Rob Riley spent 32 years with the Milwaukee Police Department which included 22 years as a major crimes detective and 7 years as an undercover narcotics agent. Writing and reading have been lifelong passions, and he began by writing short stories more than thirty years ago. Of course, police work provided both the insight and inspiration for creating private investigator Jack Blancherd, the main charcter of the crime mystery novel, Portrait Of Murder. A second novel in the PI Jack Blanchard series, Dead Last, has been published and is also available at Amazon. A third manuscript in the series has been completed and edited and is soon to be published. Rob lives with his wife, Mary Lynne, in southeastern Wisconsin
