Robert J Ott was born in Southern New Jersey and raised by his mother and Grandmother. At the age of 21 Robert was the Chief Instructor/Owner of the Traditional Martial Arts Institute.
In 1990 he became an innocent victim of a violent crime and as a result was left completely blind. Along with his new disability Robert lost his cherished Martial Arts School, freedom and any possible direction in life.
In one moment, (As Robert expresses in his Books) through the anguish, uncertainty, bouts of depression, anxiety, a host of internal and external challenges. Robert remembered "Pil-Sung!" "Certain Victory."
Yes, there were still heavy moments in Robert's life, but the mantra of "Pil-Sung, Certain Victory!" Helped drive Robert's determination to reach the highest levels of personal, public success and recognition that reaches out around the world.
