Robert wasn’t born with genetics predisposed toward weight gain, nor did he have big bones. He just happened to really like to eat, and eat what he liked. That would have not been a problem if the food available happened to be all healthy and nutritious. But healthy and nutritious seemed like the unicorn, elusive and rare, and most of it didn’t seem that tasty then anyways.
It wasn’t until his weight ballooned and he was beset by multiple health issues stemming from his poor diet and sedentary lifestyle that change was sort of forced upon him. Before this health alarm, he knew that something wasn’t quite right when he puffed and wheezed after just a single flight of stairs, but as everyone is wont to do, the “nothing is going to happen to me” syndrome kicked in, and life just rolled on.
When he got hospitalized for dangerously high blood pressure, that was when something just changed, and he knew he had to get his act together. He researched like a mad man, given that his life was quite simply hanging on a couple of flimsy threads. He paid his dues and tried his hand at various different diets until finally, he chanced upon the ketogenic diet, and that was when he never looked back.
The health problems faded away, he got his body trim and fit, and more importantly, he felt great both on the inside and outside. A crusader and prophet of the ketogenic diet he is not, but he is ever willing to share how the diet can be beneficial and be a catalyst to a change for the better!
