Robin Theiss is the founder of EVE-Emerging Ventures in Education, leading workshops and retreats for adolescents and adults. She is passionate about helping others achieve their full potential. Robin mentors and teaches students one-on-one as well as adults in supporting their personal journeys. She travels the globe throughout Europe, Asia, and America speaking at international teaching conferences and serving on the faculty of Waldorf teacher training programs in China, Germany, Hungary, Taiwan, and California.
Robin has been in Waldorf education for 20 years, working in early childhood, grades, and high school. In 2020, she launched a new high school program-EVE-DYO. This is a design your own high school program encouraging adolescents to take hold of their lives and chart their own course. The high school program offers university accredited courses as well as cultural travel opportunities and nature retreats designed to help teens unplug from screens and plug into life.
Robin received her B.A. in Philosophy and Religious Studies from the University of California, Riverside. Robin was selected as a student in residence at the Quaker community Pendle Hill in Pennsylvania, where she learned the value of mindfulness and the principles of non-violent communication skills. She, then, continued as a scholarship recipient at Claremont Graduate School to study in the master of arts program in the School of Theology.
Before becoming a teacher, Robin owned and operated Natale Coffee. This local coffee house became an oasis in Orange County offering poetry evenings, open music nights, open political discussions, and book clubs. Through working with her employees, Robin discovered her passion for the youth transitioning into adulthood and finding their way in life. With this passion, she later became involved in the Orange County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) program, mentoring foster youth in their transition into adulthood.
Robin has two adult daughters, Maya and Sage, who inspire her every day. When Robin is not traveling, she enjoys retreating in her beach cottage in Huntington Beach, California.
