Rodney Bond served in the Air Force as a B-52D navigator for five-plus years, leaving as a Captain. Rodney received the Crew Combat Readiness Medal for four continuous years on a combat crew. Rodney then worked as an engineer on fighters, submarines, tanks, missiles, and new postal sorting machines. In his mid-forties, Rodney became a high school teacher in Texas. Rodney coached students to state championships in science and mathematics. In 2010 Rodney was named the MIT High School Inspirational Teacher of the Year. In 2011, the National Society of High School Scholars selected Rodney as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction. Upon retiring, Rodney began writing books. Rodney has been researching historical information on the early families of the United States, Canada, and multiple European countries for many years as part of his interest in genealogy.
