In more ways than one, my love of travel serendipitously found me married to a keyboard. A convenient arrangement, nonetheless, having proven itself mightier than pen and sword combined.
I first wrote extensively about travel and tourism whilst resident in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Its numerous quirky coffee shops and ubiquitous WiFi a godsend in an erstwhile paradise lost.
I later returned to my naturalized homeland of Japan where I have continued writing about travel and life in the land of sushi, peace loving 'wa' folk, and talking vending machines.
Two decades or more of intermittent island life has grown my love for pilgrimage routes more so than Chaucer, from the Shikoku 88 Temples, to the Kumano Kodo, and other ancient pathways. Additional consuming interests are cooking and kitchenware having also worked as a kitchen product tester, blogger, and reviewer.
