Ron Seybold is an editor, novelist, memoirist and ex-sportswriter who released his debut pandemic novel long before Instagram was everywhere. He coaches authors as director of Austin's Writer's Workshop, a resource for book development, writing instruction, and creativity groups. He writes and edits from Austin, where his wife teaches yoga, his grandchildren visit and play, and family poodles Ella Place and Tess Harding insist on more walks than they get. His novel Viral Times (Skin Horse Press, 2015) is a futuristic thriller about a pandemic that changes how the world shares love. His memoir Stealing Home (Skin Horse Press, 2019) recounts an 11-game cross-country vacation during a divorced dad's summer with his Little League son. A two-time finalist in the Writers' League of Texas contests for memoir and historical fiction, he's reported on public radio, acted in Austin melodramas and Shakespearian dramas, and launched a tech business publication with his wife. A school volunteer at the Austin Bat Cave literacy program, he's helped built Habitat houses and aids authors from inspiration to publication.
