Roy Adkins is a historian and archaeologist, author of numerous critically acclaimed non-fiction books on social and naval history, as well as on archaeology and the ancient world. His books are mostly written with his wife Lesley Adkins. Their latest book is WHEN THERE WERE BIRDS: THE FORGOTTEN HISTORY OF OUR CONNECTIONS.
