Before Ruth Burkett Weeks, aka R.H. Burkett wrote Soldiers From the Mist, her claim to fame was shared with her brother as being the first girl/boy twins born at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Soldiers From the Mist is her first novel and is unqiue in that the story was told to her by the ghost of a Confederate soldier who haunted her house. The book not only tells his story but gives actual conversations and events that occured while working with a ghost as well, called Whisperings. Gives a whole new meaning to the term, "ghost writer." Ruth is not only an award winning writer but has served on the board of the Ozark Writer's League in Branson, Mo. and has judged writing contests as well. She is a member of the NorthWest Arkansas Writers Workshop, Oklahoma Writers Federation, Ozark Creative Writers, Women Writing the West, Mystery Writer's of America and Western Writers of America. Her second book is a paranormal romance, The Rook and The Raven, from The Wild Rose Press and is available in eBook form for Kindle and Nook. Her third book, Daughter of the Howling Moon, a paranormal/suspense/mystery/occult, has just been released from Pen-L publishing in both paperback and Kindle. Ruth lives in Rogers, Arkansas and is currently writing her fourth novel, The Legend of Dixie Dandelion.
