Shasta Gibson Smith is a spicy Texan who loves teaching and tacos. She is a District Teacher of the Year and winner of the McArthur Award for Teaching Excellence. She has presented at the Oklahoma Reading Association Conference, Sumter E3 Conference, and MSU Bilingual TAIR Conference. She has 14 years of teaching experience. Currently, she teaches Gifted and Talented for Wichita Falls ISD in Texas. When she is not teaching, she enjoys running, hiking, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.
