Sheila Jones Woodward is the second oldest of five. She was born and
raised in the Capital of Florida. Where she grew-up under the watchful
eye of her overprotective mother, who tried to establish a Christ-like
foundation in her by sending her to Christian schools, but even that
wasn’t’ enough to mold her into what her mother wanted. Sheila was
determined to live by her own rules. Headstrong and outspoken, she
was not going to be defined by her mother’s beliefs. Her father on the
other hand was different, he practiced what he preached. He loved the
ladies, and he was honest about his affairs. In his eyes Sheila could do no wrong, even though he
knew she was turning out to be a player just like him. Weeks after graduating high school, she
reconnected with Harrison, a member of the church she attended. He had gone away to join the
Air force and was back in town attending the church annual conference. Although they hadn’t
known each other long, the short courtship quickly turned into a marriage proposal. Harrison was
sure he had found the woman of his dreams.
Sheila knew he would be her ticket out from up under her mother’s hypocritical ways,
besides her goals and dreams went far beyond what the small town had to offer. For the next 25
years she lived in New Mexico, Georgia, Europe, and Japan. Where she quickly learned how to
survive and navigate her way through the secret world of Military life. As a devoted mother,
Model, Fashion Designer, Fitness Director to starting a successful Interior Design Business, she
had experienced it all. Sheila was starting to make a name for herself and securing a future
outside the comfort zone of the Military World.
