I started working on my first book when I was fourteen years old. I had a pink notebook that I carried around with me to all of my classes, and I scribbled lines of dialogue on the eraser-marked lines every chance I got (particularly during biology). I knew that I wanted to write books and put them out into the world, and I got the chance to do just that when Wild Child Publishing published "Lady Thief" while I was in college.
Fast forward a few years, and I got back the rights to that first book, re-released it, and decided to try publishing on my own. I'd gone to college to get a degree in editing, so I knew how to format books. Turns out I love doing it! With each new book, I feel like my writing only improves.
As I get older, I've found that I'm expanding my horizons for content, too. I still like to write YA novels so my younger sisters and my nieces and nephews can read my adventure stories, but I've also tried my hand at epic fantasy as well as an autobiographical book about my struggles with infertility. I write what interests me, and I'm so lucky that other people share those interests.
It all started with a pink notebook. Now, I'm several books in, and I feel like I'm still reaching for the stars!
