Swami Bhakti Gaurava Narasingha was born in 1946 in the USA and grew up in California, Florida, and Hawaii. His journey into the world of yoga began with Swami Vishnudevananda, and his first exposure to the Srimad Bhagavad Gita came through reading Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda.
In 1967, Swami Narasingha encountered the teachings of A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, and in 1970, he became his direct disciple, deepening his study of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. In 1976, Swami Narasingha accepted the renounced order of life, sannyasa, and spent many years traveling extensively throughout India. Between 1986 and 1999, he also studied under the renowned spiritual masters Swami B.R. Sridhara and Swami B.P. Puri.
In 1994, Swami Narasingha founded the Sri Narasingha Chaitanya Ashrama (Govindaji Gardens), where he regularly taught students, disciples, and followers the philosophy and teachings of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. Over the years, he contributed numerous articles to spiritual journals such as Clarion Call, Gaudiya Vedanta, Gaudiya Touchstone, and KrishnaTalk. He also authored several notable works, including:

In addition to his own works, Swami Narasingha edited and published several important texts, including In Search of the Ultimate Goal of Life by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, Words from the Guardian of Devotion, Follow the Angels, Encounters with Divinity, and Upadeshamrta by Swami B.R. Sridhara, as well as Prabhupada Sarasvati Thakura, a book that chronicles the life and teachings of Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura with rare photographs.
Swami Narasingha was also the visionary behind Devavision Productions, which produced documentaries like The Universal Teacher, Kumbha Mela, Gandaki, and Himalayan Pilgrimage. Devavision also released lecture series such as Gayatri, Absolute Harmony, Darshana, Ujjvala-nilamani, and Fools Rush in Where Angels Fear to Tread by Swami B.R. Sridhara, as well as The Art of Sadhana series by Swami B.P. Puri.
Beyond his contributions in India, Swami Narasingha extended his teachings internationally. He established an ashrama in Mexico and inspired students across Europe, particularly in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, and Germany, sharing the wisdom of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and encouraging spiritual growth across cultures.
