Having accumulated over 41 combined years of service in the military and law enforcement he finally retired. Which lasted about a week. Upon his retirement from the Marines, he joined the Florida Highway Patrol and was later assigned as a Traffic Homicide Investigator. Later he transferred to the Division of Investigation and Forensic Services as a fire, arson and explosives investigator. Today he spends his time with his grandchildren and occasionally writing.
