Most of my time I spend as a survivalist. I have convinced myself I didn't belong in a place that held me beyond my wishes until the day came along when I simply told them I loved this place. After that, I was a trusted member of the home and was allowed to take leave to places trusted by those who ran the details of my indenture. That is when I found a way out through the garden path, freeing myself after getting hung-up in the fence, and hence, my freedom obtained. I was shaken by the realism of free thought and that the world is (with the exception of myself,) full of crazy people. It was then I stole away to a place of solitude, a shack with a small table and I bible on it and an empty bottle of whiskey laying nearby of which I traded for writing paper and two stubby pencils, as well as a beat up little dog named jackass -- to an old lady who thought she could make a candle stand out of the bottle. It was then a friendship grew and for some peculiar reason she felt the need to feed me pork chops and tomato soup every day. Jackass never did like the soup but would gobble down pork chops like a batshit moron. I could not complain for I had everything in life I needed; blank manuscript paper, pencils, a bible, pork chops, and a great little furry companion. Inspiration for writing stories, drinking water from roofing gutters and security in the thought that life is good after all.
