Tadhg Culley is a Screenwriter, Author, Playwright and Poet from Staffordshire, England, who was born in British Forces Germany. He has written over 1,126 poems, 42 books, 32 audiobooks, 10 feature film screenplays, 9 novellas, 8 TV series scripts, 2 plays, 1 novelette, 1 short story collection, and 1 memoir. He has also edited 3 novels and has written, directed, filmed and edited many short-form works across different platforms and genres. He is a BAFTA Scholar (British Academy of Film & Television Arts), a MA Screenwriting graduate of NFTS (National Film & Television School) and a BA (Hons) Film Production graduate of UCA (University for the Creative Arts). One of his short films has been shortlisted for a BAFTA Animation Award. During his Scholarship, his mentors were Screenwriters Tony Grisoni (‘Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas’) and Allan Cubitt (‘The Fall’). His Screenwriting Tutor at NFTS was Brian Ward (‘The Interpreter’). He has attended Robert McKee’s world-famous ‘Story’ Seminar. He has worked 3 times with Film Director Lone Scherfig (on a feature film rewrite, in a TV series writer’s room and as a TV series Script Consultant). He has placed from semi-finalist to platinum prize winner in over 25 international screenwriting contests as well as reaching top 15% in the prestigious Nicholl Fellowship (a talent-seeking competition which is a branch of AMPAS/The Oscars). When he takes time away from the writing desk, he competes as a Divisional Tournament Paintballer. Due to sustaining too many injuries, he has had to give up Rugby, Basketball, Judo, Kickboxing & Boxing, though those former days live fondly in his memory. He lives in the West Midlands with his miniature dachshund.
