Tim lives a simple and quiet life on his farm in Paonia Colorado. He is developing his farm into an Agritourism business complete with luxury apartments, cabins, and glamping tents all set in an orchard and vineyard. He loves spending time with his grandkids, they are his pride and joy. The mountains are his favorite place to be, trail hiking, mountain climbing, bear hunting, elk hunting, stream fishing, back packing, camping, or just sitting in a grove of aspen trees are but a few activities that add spice and adventure to life. Tim is a bit of an enigma, loving the extremes of life as much as the squishy middle. He loves risky adventure activities as well as the calm and quiet contemplation. While he cherishes solitude, he is sometimes the life of the party. He loves the mountains but cherishes time by the ocean. He loves fight sports but relishes the calm and slow pace of sports like golf or baseball. He loves quiet evenings at home or an exciting night on the town. He loves roaring crowds but spending a week on a horse in the mountains without seeing a soul is even better. He loves diesel fumes, horsepower and speed but holding his granddaughter as she sleeps is an incredible delight. Tim appreciates family and deep friendships but loves meeting new people. He finds a way to enjoy both the sweltering heat of summer and the frigid cold of winter, softly falling snow or the crash of thunder storms. He loves adventure, lives life with courage, and hopes others find the same appreciation for life. Being an "empty-nester" brings new meaning to life. His faith is deep and respect for our Creator is even deeper. This brings him peace and satisfaction in his soul and enables him to approach others with is patience, kindness, humility and understanding. He loves kids and their sports but is slowly pulling away from volunteer coaching which he enjoyed for 35 years. His coaching style is truly rugged, aggressive, confident, and tough. Tim's parenting style was a work in progress. Growing up in a legalistic and harsh religion gave him a touch of faith but also gave him many examples of harshness he did not want to repeat with his own kids. While he did his best to give his kids everything they needed, he did not shower them with everything they wanted. Parenting for Tim was learned by fits and starts, failures and triumphs, frustrations and successes, trials and errors, tears and laughter. Through it all his kids are incredible human beings. They are compassionate, kind, competent, outgoing, tough, smart, confident, patient, humble, respectful and courageous. His kids live life with as similar sense of adventure their dad raised them with.
