Troy Redstone is a Fee-Only retirement plan consultant, an accomplished public speaker, and Behavioral Finance expert. He designs and manages financial wellness programs and ERISA, employer-sponsored retirement plans (401k and 403b plans). He is a Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®), a Certified Behavioral Finance Analyst (CBFA®), a Certified Financial Education Instructor (CFEI®), and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®).
As the founder of PHD. Retirement Consulting, he helps employees retire better and helps employers sleep better. Known as “The Dave Ramsey of 401k’s”, he is passionate about promoting financial wellness through retirement plans and encouraging employees to eliminate debt and practice good stewardship.
He is a member of the Retirement Advisor Council, recognized as one of the 125 leaders in the retirement plan industry in America, and currently serves on the Board (2018-2020); Chairman of the Board for the Employee Benefits Institute (2019); a thought leader in the retirement plan industry; and a thirty-year veteran of keynote speaking at conferences and seminars throughout the country.
He has published articles in a variety of magazines and newspapers including The Miami Herald, the Vero Beach Press Journal and The Today Paper. He attended The University of Alabama (Behavioral Psychology and Journalism), Anderson University (M.Div.) and Rockhurst University (Finance).
He lives in Kansas City with his bride of 25 years; his daughter and son, when home from college; and an Aussiedoodle named Dixie Belle.
