Virginia L. Bailey is a self-published author of children's books. She wrote Trinity Learns to Love Her Natural Hair because her mother was a licensed cosmetologist. Virginia wrote Love My Magic Hair because her daughter's co-worker loved her changing hairstyles and called her hair magic. She wrote We're Having a Wedding to celebrate blended families. She wrote the theatrical musical Trinity A Changing World: The First Black President when Barack Obama was elected President of the United States. Last October, Virginia wrote two versions of her most recent book, If Kamala Can, I Can. The version selected depended on the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election. Virginia earned a BA degree in Communications from Roosevelt University and an MA degree in Film and Video from Columbia College Chicago. Raised in Gary, Indiana, as a youth principal ballet dancer at the Edgerton Ballet School, she performed at elementary schools and participated in numerous talent shows and dance programs. Currently, Virginia is an active award-winning real estate broker, a CE Writing Studio instructor at Harper College, and works with teens at a high school.
