Willard M. Oliver is a professor of criminal justice in the Department of Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University (Huntsville, TX). He holds a B.S. and M.S. in Criminal Justice from Radford University (Radford, VA) and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from West Virginia University (Morgantown, WV). He is a former police officer and a retired Major in the U.S. Army Reserves, Military Police Corps. He has taught criminal justice for 25 years and had published over 25 books.
