Born in Atlanta, Georgia on August 21, 1955, William Wright has enjoyed a colorful career as a life insurance divisional sales manager, a court officer, a faith-based anger management specialist, a photojournalist, lifestyles editor and weekly columnist with the Cleveland Daily Banner. His diligent research and scholarly approach to biblical themes featured in the newspaper became a reading sensation in the Bible belt region where he lived. His weekly columns became so popular that they were published under the title, "The Little White Book of Light," and "Christian Thinking — A meditative response to spiritual indigestion."
In 2016 and 2017 the Tennessee Press Association awarded William Wright First Place in Community Lifestyles for his writing and journalistic talents, making him the first Lifestyles Editor in that newspaper's 160+ year history to receive this award. He was also the Cleveland Daily Banner's first and only African-American editor to date.
Currently, William Wright serves as a minister, a congregation elder and as an appointed Notary Public in the State of Tennessee offering his assistance as a public service at no cost. He also carries on a voluntary work of public preaching and teaching in his community, living in the spirit of Jesus' words, "You received free, give free."
"I love people," he said. "I love learning truths from God's Word and providing proof of these truths to the public. I especially enjoy researching into God's Word and applying its wisdom in my life. I think my love for learning and my love for people are evident in my writings, especially in my two books, 'Christian Thinking' and 'The Little White Book of Light.' I believe it's impossible to read these two books and not become a wiser, more insightful and spiritual human being. People don't know what they don't know. Many are still searching for the truth to set them free. I am truly grateful to God for His Divine Word and for allowing me to shed light on certain biblical truths that only Bible scholars and the most devout men understood."
