何か物事を説明する時、人はよく「たとえ」を使う。「たとえ」は普通は「例え」の字を使うことが多く、私も普段はこの字を使うが、「譬え」とも書き、本来は私もこの字を使いたいと思っているので、今回の「松聲館日乗」では、「譬え」の字を主に使っていきたいと思う。 さて、この「譬え」だが、物事を他人にわかりやすく説明する時、きわめて便利だから、私もしばしばこれを使う。しかし、「譬え」は便利なだけに問題も多い。なぜなら他人にある事を説得しようという場合、諺と同じく状況に応じて恣意的に「譬え」を例に出して説明するからである。 たとえば、「磁石のSとN」「男と女」は「違うから相手を引き寄せやすい」と説明するかと思えば、「朱に交われば赤くなる」、「類は友を持って集まる」という「同じようなものは集まりやすい」という諺を引いて、全く別の状況を相手に納得させようとする。このような事は新宗教の幹部や教師の講話などに極めてその例が多い。（本文より)甲野善紀の「風の先､風の跡～ある武術研究者の日々の気づき」はこちらから→http://yakan-hiko.com/kono.html
