 小学校では、およそ先生も生徒もごく短い期間で入れ替わっていく。先生からすれば、生徒の顔を覚えるのも大変だし、勤務経験が長くなれば、生徒の数は累積し、記憶にも濃淡の差が出てくる。優等生、すぐ懐く子、やんちゃな子、問題児、そして、印象の薄い子。そんな教師と生徒の関係をスリリングに描いた作品だ。

小学校の図工の教師、松尾美穂はその日を、ちょっと高揚した気分で迎えた。教え子で、人気絶頂の男性アイドルグループのメンバーになった高輪佑（たすく、25歳）がテレビ番組収録のため、母校を訪ねてくるのだ。10数年前、美穂が担任をしたのは、佑の3歳下の弟だが、授業をしたのは事実で、佑ファンの娘にも羨ましがられている。美穂の記憶にある佑は地味で、パッとしない子供だったし、プロはだしと称賛される絵の才能も、片鱗は見いだせなかった。撮影を終え、完璧な笑顔で現れた佑は、意外にも松尾に話したいことがあると切り出したが……。
