ニュージーランドの首都、オークランドのチェアマン寄宿学校に通う生徒たちは、夏休みに船でニュージーランドを一周する計画を立てていました。
しかし、乗り込んだ船のスロウ号は大あらしに遭い、ある島へと打ち上げられます。船に乗っていた15人の少年たちはその島の調査に繰り出し、森の中に人の住居らしきものを見つけます。
