恐怖に震えて同じく迷路を彷徨っていた折江の恋人の大野雷蔵を頼るが、雷蔵は辺りの様子を探っている最中に、短刀を刺されて死んでいる治良右衛門の恋人・諸口ちま子を見つけた。雷蔵は折江にまだ中に犯人がいるかもしれないと警告し、戦慄する。
これが第一の殺人であり、娯楽園を恐怖に陥れる連続殺人事件のはじまりであった……。
