ある日、六郎兵衛は佐藤主計をいう客を連れて来る。文江に酒の支度を頼むと、同じ境遇の二人はささやかながら有意義な夜を過ごした。
翌日、文江の姿を見た六郎兵衛は、ある決心をする……。
