新商品センベイの草の根宣伝のため、東京下町でのボランティア活動に精を出す坂田には、ひそかな楽しみがあった。言葉は悪く化粧気はないが、老人たちにはとても優しいサッコこと小川咲子が気になって仕方ないのだ。祖父仕込みの将棋と自然体な配慮で男を上げつつあったサカタに、健康枕販売のセールス指導のバイトが持ちかけられる。サッコの冷たい視線が気になりつつも、打合せのために会場に出向いてみると、そこには死体が……。さらに巻き込まれつづけ事態はひどくなりつづけ、それでも抜けられなくなっていく。
