2024: The Election That Surprised India brings to life the inside story of a dramatic period in Indian politics and society. Every twist and turn is revealed in an exciting narrative on the tumultuous events of our times. Unsparing and uncompromising, this is an unputdownable account of power politics, the main characters and their role in influencing the headlines of our times. After the bestselling books on the 2014 and 2019 elections, Rajdeep Sardesai now takes a deep dive into India's most bruising and polarized political battle and the many stories that shaped an extraordinary election verdict.

Rajdeep’s voice made it real

I enjoyed listening to Rajdeep’s 2024 election commentary. His honesty, great record keeping, brave voice made every minute of listening to this book worth my time. There aren’t many political writers as brave and honest as him. He must be celebrated by everyone with any view on Indian politics. His epilogue was spoken from heart. I’m glad he decided to create this audio version. I’ve bought the written book too but won’t get around to reading it. I haven’t yet finished Neerja Chowdhary’s book on PMs despite some dedicated reading. My best wishes to the author in his continued unbiased reporting.

Biasedness is evident

In third book of the trilogy, Rajdeep's biased views become more evident than previous two. No question on content and narrations but this book seems to written with complete biased view. Moreover most of things conveyed are based on Sources or unnamed person, which create a vague sense of objectivity

Interesting, but needed a bit of depth

Liked the building of a bigger picture from smaller events.
But didn’t get much extra than reading a newspaper over time. A book needs a little more storytelling and depth. could just be my preference.

Rajdeep's verbal diarrhoea

Rajdeep has not learnt his lesson at objective reporting. I stopped at chapter 2- 9 minutes 25 seconds when he started glorifying the Shaheen Bagh protests as a peaceful congregation of people celebrating their constitutional freedom. Bullshit Rajdeep. Please save the little bit of respect people have for you because of the years you have given to this industry. And please do not underestimate the intelligence of the populace. People see through your agenda so no point playing the victim card here. No wonder TV channels refused to give you a platform to shit verbally in front of the whole nation.
Please adapt to the new realities. ADAPT OR PERISH MY FRIEND RAJDEEP.

Rajdeep seals Rajya Sabha ticket with his distasteful agenda driven book

This audiobook serves a brilliant example of how to wear the mask of independent journalist while presenting one sided agenda driven information through a 20 hours long book. I lost interest in Rajdeep's verbosity in first 10 minutes but went through the excruciating pain of finishing the whole book. No wonder PM Modi doesn't pay anymore heed to journalist like Desai, Thapar, Anjum, etc. Now, that Rajdeep himself has turned 60 and has echoed of retiring repeatedly, he has sealed his Rajya Sabha seat.
