About this listen
A fate worse than death.
It's all part of his sick game. A game he's been planning for an entire decade. Now everything is perfect: one woman and one man have been selected. They used to be a couple - and they can no longer stand one another. They are the perfect victims. He doesn't intend for the game to be easy. He wants to push them to the brink of insanity, to make his hunt real....
A desire worth fighting for....
The couple has been captured and dumped into a massive wooded area. There's only one rule in this fatal game: They will have 72 hours to find a way out before the sadistic serial killer begins his hunt. But what he never could have expected was the explosive passion that ignites between the two ex-lovers - one that makes them strong. Fierce. And determined to do whatever it takes to escape - and to survive. Contains mature themes.

Wow... Start to end this suspenseful ride grabbed me and didn't let go. I was barely holding my breath, so wanting to find out what would happen next and how would these two ever come out of this living nightmare they somehow got trapped into.
Lara left Noah without an explanation and I felt for him even though I didn't have the full story initially, that man wanted his girl back and it didn't seem like it was really his fault in the first place.
Now Noah and Lara find themselves trapped in a wooded area with no way out, under constant surveillance and all they have is each other and being brave and a will to survive if they want to get out of the clutches of a mad man.
They have only 72 hours to find a way out before the hunter begins his hunt.
There are so many scenes that had my heart racing and I couldn't wait to know what was about to happen next.
The way Noah and Lara have to unite inspite of their differences in opinion, how Noah keeps on reminding Lara that she has to be strong and determined, the way they fought and did their best to find their way out and made the most of their situation in order to survive no matter their injuries and the terror they were feeling while battling the constant fear of being found out by the psycho - absolutely had me so freaking invested and eager to want to see them get their freedom.
I can't tell you how scared I was for them and I was freaking glued to listening to this book. I must have taken every spare moment I could to listen to this book.
Once again, Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden have done a freaking spectacular work of capturing the characters and all that they were going through perfectly in a way that I felt I was with them.
Ms. Jewel you are freaking amazing for writing these Unputdownable suspense books that I just am loving so much.
Especially after the Watcher I was eager for more of this brand of suspense and I loved this book all the more.
Noah and Lara had me in tears for the depth and sweet bond they shared. Its like this nightmare was bringing them closer like never before and making their connection so strong and unbreakable.
Ahhh... I can't wait to dive into the next suspense book from this series. Loved loved this one.
