About this listen

The epic series from #1 bestselling global phenomenon author Sarah J. Maas continues with a stunning story of love, war, and revenge.

Feyre has returned to the Spring Court, determined to gather information on Tamlin’s actions and learn what she can about the invading king threatening to bring her land to its knees. But to do so she must play a deadly game of deceit.

One slip could bring doom not only for Feyre but for everything—and everyone she holds dear.

As war bears down upon them all, Feyre endeavors to take her place as one of the High Fae of the land, balancing her struggle to master her powers—both magical and political—and her love for her court and family. Amidst these struggles, Feyre and Rhysand must
decide whom to trust among the cunning and lethal High Lords, and hunt for allies in unexpected places.

In this thrilling third book in the Court of Thorns and Roses series, the fate of Feyre’s world is at stake as armies grapple for power over the one thing that could destroy it.

"Leave world a better place than how you found"

"Leave this world a better place than how you found it." And as its chest rose and stopped all together, as its breath escaped in one last sigh, I understood why it had come to help me again and again. Not just for kindness but because it was a dreamer.

The way 'A court of Mist and Fury' ended, I did not have to choice to check with self if I wanted to purchase the next audiobook of the series. I just had to.

In terms of shocking/satisfying twists, I don't think any book in this series can match 'A court of Mist and Fury'. And yet there are new challenges and revelations at every turn with war at the central plot of this book. My favourites are the many non-fairie elements that determine the very fate of Prythion and the world beyond. *Goosebump moments

Won't say more about the war. But these were my favourite moments:

"Why should I be scared of an oversized bat who likes to throw temper tantrums?"
.
.
"I will never be happy about any of these terms. My father wins, Ayres wins, all the males like them win if I let it get to me. If I let it impact my joy, my life, my relationships with all of you."
.
.
"It's a rare person to face who they truly are and not run from it."
.
.
"If I had not met a shadow singer I would not have known it is the family you make not the one you are born into that matters. I would not have known what it is to truly hope even when the world tells you to despair."
.
.
"I looked ahead toward that laugh. That light and that vision of the future. More beautiful than anything I could have ever wished for. Anything I had wished for on those long ago solitary nights with only the stars for company. A dream still unanswered but not forever. Until then... we enjoy every heartbeat of it."

Lost hours of sleep as could not stop listening :D

I enjoyed the book. And the finale was interesting though a little confusing. if only she had cut down on 'my mate' , it would have been a little less cringe and a little more story! But it was an enjoyable book. Good narration. Thank you

Good but not great..

I loooooved A court of mist and fury and may be because of this book my expectations went high. Some chapters were dragging except the last 10 chapters which I found very gripping. So.. overall a nice read but not great.
