About this listen
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Jennifer L. Armentrout comes book three in her beloved Flesh and Fire series…
The only thing that can save the realms now is the one thing more powerful than the Fates.
After a startling betrayal ends with both Sera and the dangerously seductive ruler of the Shadowlands she has fallen madly in love with being held captive by the false King of the Gods, there is only one thing that can free Nyktos and prevent the forces of the Shadowlands from invading Dalos and igniting a War of Primals.
Convincing Kolis won’t be easy, though–not even with a lifetime of training. While his most favored Revenant is insistent that she is nothing more than a lie, Kolis’s erratic nature and twisted sense of honor leave her shaken to the core, and nothing could’ve prepared her for the cruelty of his Court or the shocking truths revealed. The revelations not only upend what she has understood about her duty and the very creation of the realms but also draw into question exactly what the true threat is. However, surviving Kolis is only one part of the battle. The Ascension is upon her, and Sera is out of time.
But Nyktos will do anything to keep Sera alive and give her the life she deserves. He’ll even risk the utter destruction of the realms, and that’s exactly what will happen if he doesn’t Ascend as the Primal of Life. Yet despite his desperate determination, their destinies may be out of their hands.
But there is that foreseen unexpected thread—the unpredictable, unknown, and unwritten. The only thing more powerful than the Fates…

i miss her true stories
okay so i love her alot and all her writing but so true past few book there is no story same with this one half of the book is about sex in a positive or a negative way but god people and character do feel something else as well other than horny. the last hour in the book is all about sex man truly, after surviving there r things to be done. i loved her writing because there was story, action, and a pinch of romance but in this book at least i did noticed that there was no a single development (a true one not just side kicks).

Okay
The narration was very interesting and just.
But when the readers wait for a sequel.....the story must run and not drag.
Jennifer l armentrout once wrote beautiful stories like covenent series and lux series. where there was more story and less sex in so much details .....like every five minutes. Her blood and ash series and then this spin off were awesome and full of twists and turns......and the wait for what will happen was killing.
From last two three books in both the series..........its like reading a sex book.......and not stories. We do like Poppy and Casteel and Sera and Nytos......but then....... we do like other characters and the conversations between them.
For this particular book......except for the first scene, when nytos and kollus fight, and when Sera freed nytos, and Aates swear his loyalty. like when Reign ....comes to meet Sera in the prison, or Sera's ascension until she woke up. only these part were in alignment with the stories plot. rest were just too long and excruciating boring sex scenes and God !.....not to forget the emotional nonsensical sweet talking between the nytos and Sera.every five minutes post sex.And then we have this .....so called so much feared primal Kolus!! which was talked about in both the series .........He turned out to be an absolute joke. How dumb can he be.
Thus, the voice and narration are perfect....
but the story was very disappointing.
I think jennifer l armentrout....
.should try to write more good stories in a year.......and focus more on stories than releasing 3 -4 new titles per year. I think it will improve the creativity factor.
