About this listen

From Scirland to the farthest reaches of Eriga, Isabella, Lady Trent is known to be the world’s preeminent dragon naturalist.

Here at last, in her own words, is the true story of a pioneering spirit who risked her reputation and her prospects to satisfy her scientific curiosity; of how she sought true love and happiness despite her lamentable eccentricities; and how she made the first of many historic discoveries that would change the world forever.

Thrilling and Enchanting

The character of Lady Trent is so fierce and exciting. The story takes its time to gather pace but does not lose the humour and gravitas that a fictional scholar of great repute may bring to her memoirs. I loved it. Queuing up the next book in there series.

Kate Reading's narration was engrossing. She enunciated the words so well. And brought emotions that made the conversations and internal monologues of the writer come alive.

Highly recommended for any fantasy nerd. Do check it out.
