About this listen

On the eve of his college graduation, Harry is called home by his stepmother, Alice, to their house on the Maine coast, following the unexpected death of his father. But who really is Alice, his father's much younger second wife?

As her past entwines with Harry's in the present, things grow increasingly dark and threatening - will Harry be able to see any of it clearly through his own confused feelings?

An Enticing Read. Recommended read.

An Enticing Read. Had an amazing story line and character building was great. Kept me glued to it till the end.

The storyline itself

Another “unputdownable” by Peter Swanson. Though not quite in the league of “The Kind Worth Killing” and “The Kind worth Saving”, even this novel does have the characteristic study in psychology and the slow burning build up from apparently mundane beginnings.
