In einer dieser hier wiedergegebenen Szenen finden wir Anatol unter anderem auf den menschenwimmelnden Straßen der Stadt kurz vor Weihnachten in einem Gespräch mit einer Dame der Gesellschaft. Vordergründig dreht es sich um Einkäufe für das Fest und doch gleichzeitig auch immer um das Hauptthema Schnitzlers: Die Liebe.
