San Antonio College President, Dr. Naydeen González-De Jesús, talks with Hot Mustard about the SAC Nursing Program. The program offers an Associate of Science in Nursing (A.A.S.) and a RN to BSN bridge program.Dr. Tonya Maunsell, Executive Director of the Associate of Applied Science Nursing Program, explains what students can expect when they enter the program. Dr. Eve Rodriguez, Executive Director of the Registered Nurse to Baccalaureate Program, discusses the transition for students from the A.A.S in Nursing to becoming a Registered Nurse and going on to the RN to BSN program.The group talks about the exciting opportunities for students deciding to enroll in the Nursing Program at San Antonio College and the Kerrville location. The A.A.S. program has two tracks, the Generic track, and the Career Mobility track for LVN/LNP. Once the student completes the program, takes and passes the NCLEX licensing exam, and becomes a Registered Nurse, the student can then apply and transition into the RN to BSN Bridge Program.
