About this listen

Brought to you by Penguin.

Bruce Lee's daughter illuminates her father's most powerful life philosophies and how we can apply his teachings to our daily lives.

Empty your mind; be formless, shapeless like water

Bruce Lee is a cultural icon, world renowned for his martial arts and film legacy. But Lee was also a deeply philosophical thinker, believing that martial arts are more than just an exercise in physical discipline - they are a perfect metaphor for personal growth.

In Be Water, My Friend Shannon Lee shares previously untold stories from her father's life along with the concepts at the core of his teachings. Each chapter reveals a lesson from Bruce Lee, expanding on the foundation of his iconic 'be water' philosophy to reveal a path to an enlightened way of being.

This is an inspirational call to action to consider our lives with new eyes and a testament to Lee's unique power to ignite our imaginations and transform our lives.

a great Book on a Legend

I've always admired Bruce Lee as a great Martial Artist and read is quotes but never knew his philosophy about life and martial arts. it was an enlightening experience to know about the legend that there is way more than Martial Arts. it was like, a philosopher's journey and experiences, I am listening to. Be Water My Friend...a perfect title amd very well written, explained and expressed by author.
this is recommended for everyone ... Be it Martial arts lovers or not, interested in Philosophy or in Bruce Lee, its about life he lived and the way he paved for future generations to follow.

BAD Audio NARRATION kills priceless content.

Such a lovely book but the experience of listening to this audio book is unfortunately very disappointing. The narrator doesn't understand pacing while reading an audio book. There is no pause, there is no tempo, there is no voice modulation. The narrator needs to take a breather and stop running through the book mindlessly & in a hurry. The narrator loses out on the most essential element of an audio book : "The Art of Story Telling" that can keep the reader engrossed and involved with the experience of listening to an audio book.
