About this listen

Fate takes many forms....

When Henry receives a letter from an elderly taxidermist; it poses a puzzle that he cannot resist. As he is pulled into the world of this strange and calculating man, Henry becomes increasingly involved with the lives of a donkey and a howler monkey - named Beatrice and Virgil - and the epic journey they undertake together.

With all the spirit and originality that made Life of Pi so treasured, this brilliant new novel takes the listener on a haunting odyssey. On the way, Martel asks profound questions about life and art, truth and deception, responsibility and complicity.

took a lot of patience 😓

great start to the plot, but gradually it starts to get on the nerve. it's a game of patience for 6 long hours. it a good book dealing with creative block in writing, but extremely over exaggerated. it's just a-50-page-story-turned-into-a-200-page-novel. it's a good book, but not suggested if you have other books on your list, it's quite boring and will test your patience. performance is good. actually the story doesn't deserves such a good performance, would've been easier to just keep the book down and go for something else. hope this helps 👍
