About this listen
Originally published as Little Lies.
Pirriwee Public is a beautiful little beachside primary school where children are taught that ‘sharing is caring'. So how has the annual School Trivia Night ended in full-blown riot? Sirens are wailing. People are screaming. The principal is mortified.
And one parent is dead.
Was it a murder, a tragic accident, or just good parents gone bad? As the parents at Pirriwee Public are about to discover, sometimes it’s the little lies that turn out to be the most lethal. Little Lies is a brilliant take on ex-husbands and second wives, mothers and daughters, school-yard scandal, and the dangerous little lies we tell ourselves just to survive.

Good read, although murder mystery is very less
This is a good book but it shouldn't be specifically categorized as a murder mystery.

It's not a detective story or a murder mystery, if that's what you are looking for
I have tried many times to start this book over and over, bug dropped it because of the narrator's voice. It was so boring, monotonic and irritating, but as I kept listening, I started admiring her voice, the narrator put lot of emphasis on expressing the emotions while speaking the dialogues. it was awesome.
Now, coming to the story, it was beautiful, hilarious, emotional and also educational. I was sold on this book as a murder mystery but found out it was nothing related to murder but the events that happened before it. I think this is first slice of life novel which I have read and loved it. Although I did find Celeste's POV repeatative, but I can understand why it was written that. other than that, it was binge worthy and interesting.

A gentle story of violence
I liked the friendship between the three women who stood by each other. The individuals put on a show, hiding their fears. The society around which gossips and judges and juggles for their space and recognition.
