I'm really loving this Suspense/ Thriller series of standalones by Ms. Jewel. They are so gripping and Maxine Mitchell & Joe Arden as narrators are so freaking perfect to the story style.
So we have Hartley who's somehow pushed by her bestie to go out with new people as she's stilling mourning her no more there husband and Taylor, being the good friend that she is wants her friend to once again start living her life.
Hartley might not be ready but she still agrees to go on three blind dates just to make her friend shut up.
Inspite of the failed dates, somehow Hartley finds this sweet person who's genuinely nice and is like a breath of fresh air for her.
On the other hand, her hot neighbor who's attitude is colder than ice, makes her angry with how he ignores her and doesn't even make conversation when she's right in front of him and speaking to him.
I really liked and absolutely enjoyed the chemistry between Hartley and Ace. Their banter was oh so fun and Ace is just an amazing man even though he's not a man who instantly warms up to you.
The suspense angle perfectly goes hand in hand with the building chemistry between Ace and Hartley and I was here for it.
Although, honestly I had guessed right from the start who the culprit was yet I loved the way the suspense unfolded and especially I LOVED SEEING ACE AND HARTLEY TOGETHER.
