About this listen

When Midhun is injured in a hit-and-run incident, no one can anticipate that the minor scrapes and wounds he has sustained will suddenly turn fatal. But that is exactly what happens, and after his death, his organs are donated and end up saving several lives.

Soon, however, his friends Rithu and Ragesh and his lover Sandhya begin to suspect there is more to the story than meets the eye. As they delve deeper into the chain of events and the people behind the religious fellowship they are all a part of, they discover that answers are hard to come by, justice elusive and closure next to impossible....

Following the lives of men and women caught in a web of criminally orchestrated accidents and medically induced comas, Benyamin's latest novel, Body and Blood, is by turns introspective and thrilling - a meditation on faith and God that also holds up a mirror to the power and corruption of organized religion.

A climax that let down the build up

The ending could and should have been better imo. something so deep and serious ended very Swift and without a just conclusion to several major characters. great thread but a climax that let me down.

New dimension to religion and spirituality

Throws light on how organized religion has the other face of organized crime. People always forget the Alwarezs. It underlines a far louder question WHY DO WE SEEK GOD?

Spirituality vs Organised religion

The author has chosen to tackle a lot of issues related to religion and faith. How different people approach God differently - the good, the bad and the ugly. The characters are relatable and lots of references from literature makes it interesting. However, the story is unable to hold after the half way limit and is somehow tied up at the end. Overall an important book because of the mirror it shows to society but the story could have been more engaging.
